From an early age, Dr. John V. Adams knew he wanted to go into medicine. With an innate understanding of math and science, coupled with a passionate desire to help people, he has grown his Family Medicine Practice into a professional and nurturing facility for patients of all ages.
Beginning his professional career in 1996 while in residency, Dr. Adams brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every patient interaction. After completing his residency in 1998 at West Virginia University, he began to practice at the Ambulatory Care Center at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN before joining Dr. Larry Maynard at 119 Memorial Drive in 2000. Dr. Adams eventually purchased the practice from Dr. Maynard in 2002, and now provides services ranging from Physicals to X-Rays to Vaccines and TB Skin Tests.
On top of expertise and professionalism, Dr. Adams also prides himself in the relationships he builds with his patients, creating a trusting and warm environment that plays an integral part in providing top-notch services. Emphasizing the need for empathy and reinforcing the idea of treating others as he would want to be treated, Dr. Adams has created a space where patients feel safe and cared for.
The staff at Adams Medical Clinic follow in the footsteps of Dr. Adams. Made up of a group of professional health care providers — including Nurse Practitioners Tara Perdue and Elizabeth Walkup (both of whom are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center) and Dana Osborne, who is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – every patient is guaranteed to receive the highest level of care every time they come in for an appointment.
Understanding the times, the Adams Medical Clinic provides available, flexible care, meaning they will work with patients to set appointments and do their best to work with patients when problems arise. From single parents to shift workers, Dr. Adams and his staff will work with you to make the process as stress-free as possible. Extended hours and accepting walk-ins are just a few of the tactics used by the Adams Health Clinic to ensure each and every patient has the opportunity to receive the care they need.
